Free Kids Activities and Drawing Lessons

Three more days and I’m just a scrambling. Not procrastinating mind you, just adding one more thing after one more thing.artist palette

What am I up to you ask? Well, as a grandmother, you can never have enough things to keep the kids busy so I’ve created a few fun activities pages where you will be able to print out free Meet the Character coloring pages, dot to dot, maze and word search games. And most of all, I’m starting to offer free drawing lessons for the kids. these will all be available this coming Friday, Oct. 10th on my website, http://www.anartistview.net .  They will be geared towards kids Pre K to 3rd grade. Very simple and easy to follow along. I’ll be adding more every month so be sure to check back. I plan on making lessons for the adults later. Sign up for the newsletter for more details.

By the way, Thanks for the responses yesterday. Although I prefer an actual book over and electronic device, I’ll be sure to look into making the kindle version work. As well as offer them online as well as at my local bookstore.

There is plenty more for me to do today so until tomorrow!

Ann

Don’t miss out on the opening day special!

Order your copies of the new Hideaway Hilda children’s book and you’ll receive 15% off the cover price, Oct 10 – 17th only at http://www.anartistview.net

The winds of change

Garden House coloredRemember Mary Poppins? A spoon full of sugar? They always make me smile. And then I wonder how many other stories have impacted my life. Just last night as I was thinking of all the new and exciting things that I want to do with An Artist’s View, I naturally just blurted out, ” The winds are changing”. Now I’m sure that is not exactly what the guys on the roof were saying but it didn’t stop my imagination from picturing them on the roof watching to see what was coming their way.

I personally relate more to Alice in Wonderland, myself. “Why sometimes, I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” Always imaging, always playing. I swear I learned all of life’s lessons within those few short innocent years of childhood. Lessons that will forever be repeated throughout the rest of my life. And now that I cascade through the creative journey, weaving the web of the series, Adventures Through the Enchanted Door, I try keeping this in mind. As I write these stories for my grandchildren I often wonder what will be trapped and repeated throughout their lives. I can only hope it’s a good thing.

Update on Hideaway Hilda.  Well….editing is taking a little longer than I had planned. Another proof book delivered yesterday and another proof book will be ordered again today as just one little letter didn’t show up where it belonged. And so the story goes….

Also I will be adding a opt in on my web page for collecting emails so I will be able to connect a little closer to those who wish to receive emails with specials and inside glimpses on the behind the scenes of An Artist’s View. Free giveaways, private lessons and all sorts of other things that will not be available on any of my blogs.

I’ve got my hands a little full with juggling the marketing right now, so stay tuned for more for the best is yet to come.

“I knew who I was this morning, but I’ve changed a few times since then.”

Memmey said that she will try very hard to make at least one new coloring page a week. I love to color. How about you?

We think we saw Diggery Dew posing for his picture. I wonder if he will be next?

Meet Winona Willy Wog

WinnieMeet Winona Willy Wog.  You can call her Winnie. She is a wise old dragon with big golden eyes and crazy hair. She is the Dragon of the North and lives just outside the pond in Memmay’s side yard.

She is very ticklish and quick to giggle.

Winnie has some very important things to tell the kids before they begin to find their way back to the Enchanted Door.

Be Kind!

Enjoy your adventures! http://www.anartistview.net/The%20Enchanted%20Door.html

Welcome to Grandma and Grandpa’s house

front house view  Around the corner and down the dusty dirt road live a Grandma and Grandpa, who go by the names of Memmay and Peppay, with their two fluffy, jumpy dogs, Emma and Megan. Their little grey home is nestled within the beautiful flower gardens and surrounded by trees that always seem to be waving and watching whomever pass by.

“A grandparents’ home is always full of surprises.” Memmay would say. “Just keep your heart happy, your eyes open, and your mind curious, because you never know when the magic will appear.”
